12/11/2023 0 Comments Kingdom come deliverance 2![]() That would allow for a proper, "what you did and how you played" will come through, including skills and equipment. I find it almost funny that most people assume there would be no import from KC:D into the next game. It's never been a big deal before, I doubt it will be. Hell sometimes they don't even care and reset the mc anyways, like mass effect. Literally every single rpg sequel that uses the same main character does some form of this. You as a player using game mechanics might have, but Bernard doesn't acknowledge the fact you beat him, and still somewhat has an air of superiority around Henry, which can imply Henry has yet to best him. Hell, canonically I doubt Henry every beat Bernard in a practice duel. The story of kingdom come only happens over the course of a couple of months, if even. Henry became better at swordfighting yes, but he still has so much to learn. Maybe in game he becomes that way due to the gameplay, but the game is still a realistic adaptation. There is no lore of Henry being this super human master dedicated swordsman. Maybe he has to learn different stances now that he is adventuring outside of bohemia and faces a new fighting style or something. Create new challenges that Henry has to learn. All they gotta do is add new challenges and rework the systems of combat. To the people who are skeptical about Henry being op in the beginning. Maybe also give him more variation of social skills and specializations to unlock. It will still keep what he learned but make him feel weaker at the start. Do something like giving Henry the tools to fight multiple enemies with a system like for honor, and expand the selection of your potions, improve the stealth system, more options for mounted combat, etc. But expand what is possible in the world to give Henry more to learn. He is still competent with a sword, and can drink with the best of them. They can just sort of scale the level of challenge he faces in the world. It feels weird in the Witcher when they did it. He fought like a master in the opening, maybe he has a similar period in his life before settling into be a blacksmith. I think it would be cool to give him his own backstory. They can take the RDR2 path and We can play as Martin. Henry of course can't start as a hopeless peasant again, but he definitely doesn't need to be OP either. And he would sometimes need to face some actually skilled opponents (actual soldiers that are hostile, instead of some hired ruffians) to keep the difficulty high, and bandits would ambush in a bit bigger groups if there even needs to be any.Īfter all, I guess a washed up "knight" (Ulrich, not sure if he actually even was a knight) was the toughest opponent Henry had to fight in KCD, and that could canonically be a very close fight, or even just one where Henry got lucky.Īnyway, I don't think it would need to be that precise. He would be starting at being perfectly able to fend off some bandits, but a proper knight could easily kick his arse. ![]() Then, just scale the levels so that Henry would start with everything at 5 (which could correlate to around 10 in KCD levels) and the maximum would be 20 again. ![]() I guess they could go with a canon that Henry didn't do too much fighting and just has the skills of a decent man-at-arms but still has a lot to learn (which would be just realistic given that KCD canonically lasts about 3 months I think).
